Minuscule 266 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 1393 (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Paleographically it had been assigned to the 13th century.^[1]

Description

The codex contains the text of the four Gospels on 282 parchment leaves (24.2 cm by 16.6 cm), written in one column per page, in 23 lines per page.^[1] It contains tables of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections (Mark 237 - 16:15), lectionary markings, synaxaria, Menologion, and subscriptions, but not the Eusebian Canons.^[2]

Text

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.^[3]

History

The manuscripts was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz (1794-1852).^[4] It was examined by Martin.^[2]

The manuscript is currently housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Gr. 67) at Paris.^[1]
