Minuscule 348 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 227 (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Dated by a colophon to the year 1022 (29 December).[1]
Description
The codex contains a complete text of the four Gospels on 187 parchment leaves (19.2 cm by 14.5 cm). Written in two columns per page, in 30-31 lines per page.[1] It contains Epistula ad Carpianum, the Eusebian tables, Prolegomena, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, Eusebian Canons, lectionary markings, Synaxarion, and Menologion.[2]
Texts of Matthew 16:2b-3 and John 7:53-8:11 marked by an obelus.[2] Citations from the Old Testament are marked by asterisk.[3]
Textually it is close to the manuscripts 477 and 1279.
History
The manuscript was written in Calabria.[2] It once belonged to "J. V. Pinelli".[3] It was examined by Scholz and Burgon. It was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz (1794-1852).[4]
The manuscript is currently housed at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana (B. 56 sup.) in Milan.[1]
