Mt 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death <2288> light is sprung up. Mt 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death <2288>, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. Mt 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death <2288>. Mt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death <2288>, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Mt 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death <2288>, Mt 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death <2288>: tarry ye here, and watch with me. Mt 26:66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death <2288>. Mr 7:10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death <2288>: Mr 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death <2288>, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. Mr 10:33 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death <2288>, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: Mr 13:12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death <2288>, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. Mr 14:34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death <2288>: tarry ye here, and watch. Mr 14:64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death <2288>. Lu 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death <2288>, to guide our feet into the way of peace. Lu 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death <2288>, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Lu 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death <2288>, till they see the kingdom of God. Lu 22:33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death <2288>. Lu 23:15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death <2288> is done unto him. Lu 23:22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death <2288> in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. Lu 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death <2288>, and have crucified him. Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death <2288> unto life. Joh 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death <2288>. Joh 8:52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death <2288>. Joh 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death <2288>, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Joh 11:13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death <2288>: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Joh 12:33 This he said, signifying what death <2288> he should die. Joh 18:32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death <2288> he should die. Joh 21:19 This spake he, signifying by what death <2288> he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. Ac 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death <2288>: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. Ac 13:28 And though they found no cause of death <2288> in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. Ac 22:4 And I persecuted this way unto the death <2288>, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. Ac 23:29 Whom I perceived to be accused of questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death <2288> or of bonds. Ac 25:11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death <2288>, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar. Ac 25:25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death <2288>, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him. Ac 26:31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death <2288> or of bonds. Ac 28:18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death <2288> in me. Ro 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death <2288>, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Ro 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death <2288> of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death <2288> by sin; and so death <2288> passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Ro 5:14 Nevertheless death <2288> reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. Ro 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death <2288> reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Ro 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death <2288>, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death <2288>? Ro 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death <2288>: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Ro 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death <2288>, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Ro 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death <2288> hath no more dominion over him. Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death <2288>, or of obedience unto righteousness? Ro 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death <2288>. Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death <2288>; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ro 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death <2288>. Ro 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death <2288>. Ro 7:13 Was then that which is good made death <2288> unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death <2288> in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. Ro 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death <2288>? Ro 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death <2288>. Ro 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death <2288>; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Ro 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death <2288>, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 1Co 3:22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death <2288>, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death <2288> till he come. 1Co 15:21 For since by man came death <2288>, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death <2288>. 1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death <2288> is swallowed up in victory. 1Co 15:55 O death <2288>, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1Co 15:56 The sting of death <2288> is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death <2288> in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 2Co 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death <2288>, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 2Co 2:16 To the one we are the savour of death <2288> unto death <2288>; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 2Co 3:7 But if the ministration of death <2288>, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 2Co 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death <2288> for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 2Co 4:12 So then death <2288> worketh in us, but life in you. 2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death <2288>. 2Co 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths <2288> oft. Php 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death <2288>. Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death <2288>, even the death <2288> of the cross. Php 2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death <2288>: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. Php 2:30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death <2288>, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death <2288>; Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death <2288>, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death <2288>, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death <2288>, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death <2288> for every man. Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death <2288> he might destroy him that had the power of death <2288>, that is, the devil; Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death <2288> were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death <2288>, and was heard in that he feared; Heb 7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death <2288>: Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death <2288>, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death <2288> of the testator. Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death <2288>; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death <2288>. Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death <2288>, and shall hide a multitude of sins. 1Jo 3:14 We know that we have passed from death <2288> unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death <2288>. 1Jo 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death <2288>, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death <2288>. There is a sin unto death <2288>: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 1Jo 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death <2288>. Re 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death <2288>. Re 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death <2288>, and I will give thee a crown of life. Re 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death <2288>. Re 2:23 And I will kill her children with death <2288>; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. Re 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death <2288>, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death <2288>, and with the beasts of the earth. Re 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death <2288>, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death <2288> shall flee from them. Re 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death <2288>. Re 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death <2288>; and his deadly <2288> wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. Re 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly <2288> wound was healed. Re 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death <2288>, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death <2288> hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Re 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death <2288> and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Re 20:14 And death <2288> and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death <2288>. Re 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death <2288>, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death <2288>.
