John Gideon Hartnett is a Physicist, Cosmologist with B.Sc. (Hons) and Ph.D. (with distinction) in Physics and is currently an Associate Professor in Adelaide, South Australia.

Hartnett has a biblical creationist worldview. He writes and publishes, among other things, on how science, particularly cosmology, fits into the biblical Creation account and how the big bang is inconsistent with the Bible.

Hartnett has published more than 200 scientific papers, written many articles on science and faith in defense of the bible, and (co)authored two books. Hartnett speaks on Creation/Evolution issues in universities, schools, churches and in the media.

Hartnett is a strong supporter of the Textus Receptus.
