Minuscule 407

Minuscule 407 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 320 (in the Soden numbering), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Paleographically it had been assigned to the 12th century.[1]

Description
The codex contains the text of the Gospel of luke 5:30-Gospel of John 9:2 on 87 parchment leaves (15 cm by 13 cm). Written in one column per page, in 21 lines per page.[1] It contains tables of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, subscriptions, and stichoi. The Eusebian Canons absent.[2]

Text
The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.[3]
History
Wiedmann and J. G. J. Braun collated portions of the manuscript for Scholz (1794-1852).[4] The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz.[5]
The manuscript is currently housed at the Biblioteca Marciana (Gr. I. 12) in Venice.[1]
