Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

Many modern translations have “their purification” instead of “her purification.” This creates an exegetical problem, because Mary’s purification was required by law forty days after the birth of a son (eighty days after the birth of a daughter), whereas Leviticus 12:2-4 only has the woman in view, not her husband.
