Minuscule 82

Minuscule 82 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), O¹ (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment leaves. Paleographically it had been assigned to the 10th century.^[1] Formerly it was labelled by 44^a, 51^p, and 5^r.^[2]

Description

The codex contains the text of the Acts, Catholic epistles, Paul, Rev., with a commentary, on 246 leaves (size 20.6 cm by 16 cm). Written in one column per page, 28 lines per page.^[1] Neatly written.^[2]

It contains Prolegomena, kephalaia, titloi, subscriptions.

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.^[4]

According to Scrivener its value in Apocalypse is considerable.^[3]

History

The manuscript was examined by Wettstein and Scholz.^[2]

It is currently housed in at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Gr. 237), at Paris.^[1]
