Sinaiticus Examined

In 2009 the Codex Sinaiticus Project placed Cdoex Sinaiticus online providing hight quality photographs of the manuscript, and using the same standards in Leipzig Germany, the English British Library, Russia, and Egypt. There was also acknowledgment that basic testing in areas like material and ink chemical composition has never been done. Some testing has been planned in Germany, but there is no public word on whether this has occurred.

These factors have opened up the Codex for greater scrutiny along with many other books and resources being made available on the internet such as Codex Sinaiticus and the Simonides Affair by James Keith Elliott in 1982, Dirk Jongkind, Scribal Habits of Codex Sinaiticus. Later, and others.

In 2008 the Russian Wikipedia put in an extract of Uspensky. The Sinaiticus researchers translated it around the end of 2013 and revealed that that extract also has great bearing on other issues, like the book binding.

In 2012 Chris Pinto video released his film Tares Among the Wheat, which included video of a discussion held in the British Library. This section focused on the Simonides and Tischendorf questions in regards to Sinaiticus. The video has been watched by millions and has sparked curiousity about the manuscript.

On December 11 2013, Chris Pinto and James White had a debate on the subject. Researcher Steven Avery stated:

"I became interested in the issues, while being very cautious, simply because I felt that Chris had raised some interesting issues and was not being treated fairly in the mainstream Bible internet media. And I began to research certain areas."

Chris later focused raised some other new issues, such as the Barnabas issue.

Chick Publications Videos

After some forum and Facebook discussion David W. Daniels ran several videos on his Youtube account for Chick Publications, which has caused the information to go viral.
