Scrivener in his Textus Receptus published in 1881, amended the word of Beza's σπείροντι, which has an ( ο ), to σπείραντι which has an ( α ). This is part of Scrivener's 190 list of amendments in his appendix.

Mark ward said in his article "Which TR":

There is a present vs. an aorist participle discrepancy in Matthew 13:24. The difference is between a sower who “is sowing” (σπείροντι) seed (Stephanus) and one who “sowed” (σπείραντι) seed (Scrivener).
